Pierluigi Rolando Tennis Collection is designed to capture the essence of the breakthrough vision and style of the brand's original Creative Director, Pierluigi Rolando, the mind responsible for bringing imagination into FILA's sport style.
Built upon the idea of the original tagline of the brand, “creativity in sport," this campaign takes tennis outside the court by way of art, music, and cultural touchpoints. This homage to PLR feels as fresh, hip, and relevant now as the designer's original work did in 1971.
Installment #3 was inspired by the London's other contribution to culture: The Beatles Yellow Submarine art. With pro tennis players Karolina Pliskova and Sam Querry as the muses, Sergio Membrillas's illustrations depict exaggerated proportions and playful quintessential Wimbledon vibes.
