As part of United by Sport—a global campaign exploring how athletics unifies communities beyond the playing field—I convinced FILA to partner with Soles4Souls in Haiti, a charity that distributes shoes to children in need. 


What we discovered went far beyond footwear. On the ground, we teamed up with Goals Beyond the Net, a local organization transforming young lives in Jacmel through an ingenious model: kids must study to earn the right to play soccer. The soccer field became a gateway—to education, healthcare, nutrition, and futures that seemed impossible before. This is the story of how a simple pair of shoes opened doors that poverty had kept locked.

The Day Shoes Arrived 

We distributed hundreds of pairs of shoes at local orphanages, giving kids what many of us take for granted—the ability to walk to school, play without injury, and show up with dignity.

Scholar Athletes

To play in the Jacmel United Football Club, students must maintain a 6.0 on their national exams—no grades, no game time. Soccer isn't the reward for showing up; it's the reward for showing out academically.
